Freelancer

Typical 2026 rates of about $800 to $2,000 for one page and $1,500 to $8,000 for a five-page site, plus extra for features, writing, hosting and monthly updates.

Agency

About $2,500 to $30,000 depending on size, with features and writing priced higher than a freelancer, and monthly retainers of $200 to $500 if you want regular updates.

Ready-made (Grab & Go)

Our published prices: $499 one time with a year of hosting, then the $50/month Care Plan for hosting and updates. Or $99/month for 12 months.

FAQ

Website cost questions

How much does a small business website cost?

Roughly $250 to $400 a year to build it yourself on a website builder, $1,500 to $8,000 for a freelancer to build a typical five-page site, and $5,000 to $25,000 with an agency. A ready-made site from Grab & Go Sites is $499 one time, including the first year of hosting.

How much does a website cost per month?

A do-it-yourself builder plan is about $17 to $29 a month. Hosting with a freelancer is often $10 to $30 a month, and monthly update plans range from about $50 to $500 depending on who does the work.

Is it cheaper to build my own website?

In dollars, yes. But a do-it-yourself site usually takes 15 to 60 hours to set up, plus time for updates. The calculator shows that time separately so you can decide what it's worth to you.

Why are agency prices so much higher?

Agencies have teams, project managers and custom design processes. That's worth it for complex sites, online stores or businesses whose website is central to sales. Most local service businesses don't need it.

How accurate is this calculator?

It gives typical ranges for US small businesses in 2026, based on published builder prices and common freelancer and agency rates. Real quotes depend on the person, your location and exactly what you need.
